UPCOMING EVENTS:

  • MAY

Have you ever tried Tunisian crochet? It isn’t exactly crochet or knitting, but uses a long-tailed crochet hook on which you put a number of stitches for an entire row, rather than a stitch at a time. You then work back and forth down the row to form both a forward and a return pass. Classes will be held from 3-5pm on Saturdays May 25 and June 1 to learn a variety of basic stitches. Previous crochet experience not needed. Cost is $60 and includes supplies for beginning project. Please pay in advance to reserve your spot. Five seats left as of May 4.

  • JUNE

Who doesn’t love a spring sweater? We are having a workshop to help you understand the dynamics of top-down sweater knitting. Top-down sweaters take the complexities out of making a sweater! We can help you select a pathern - some fun ones you might like are by Caitlin Hunter, Petite Knits, or Alisa Hartzel, among others. Whatever pattern you select, come work with us on June 22 to start your top-down sweater. $25 reserves your spot for two hours hands-on help. If you need further assistance, you can sign up for our weekly help sessions on Wednesday or Thursday.

  • JULY

Let’s get our Christmas stocking all ready in July! We’re here to help you with your Christmas sock pattern, but as a group we will be working on the Crosby Cabled Stocking. Knitted with Cascade Ecological Wool. This classic stocking features a traditional antler cable pattern knit in a timeless neutral colorway. Its generous size and sturdy construction ensure plenty of room for handmade surprises year after year. We’ll be ordering colors and patterns as we get closer to July and will pick out Saturdays that work out for those interested in this project.
